This Use Case describes how to solve transformation of protocol and/or content to reduce attack vectors.
Importing information into secure environments produces several risks. The information (e.g. a pdf-file) may include hidden exploits, based, for example, on zero-day vulnerabilities. This can therefore be used to inject viruses, Trojans, etc into the information system.
By breaking up the protocol and content, dismantling it and transforming it to low-level information, validating content against set policies, and then reassembling the information into a chosen format, malware in whatever form will normally not be able to survive.
In this example, a pdf-file is imported and transformed to a png-image. This effectively eliminates the risk of malware infection.
